WW2 Normandy Beaches Tour

This tour is a trip of a lifetime.

Solway Tours are delighted to advertise our fantastic tour of the Normandy Beaches of WW2. The tour will run at different times throughout the year. It will be a 6 day tour with 5 nights overnight accommodation. We will have 4 full days in Normandy including visits to Gold, Sword, Utah and Omaha beaches as well as associated museums, memorials and cemeteries.

We will travel by coach to Portsmouth and then take the ferry to Caen. The coach will then be our main mode of transport for the remainder of the trip. This action packed tour will see us spending time at 4 of the landing beaches of D Day. We will stay in the Novotel in Bayeux and we will include some time to visit the world famous Bayeux Tapestry.

Tour includes:

On the tour we will visit both the British landing beaches of Gold and Sword including spending time at the beach at Arromanches. Arromanches is where the Mulberry Harbour trialled in Galloway along the Solway Coast played such a pivotal role in the success of the landings.

We will also spend two days at the American beaches of Utah and Bloody Omaha including Pointe du Hoc and the emotive American Cemetery made famous in Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan.

The cost for the trip will be approx. £900 per person for two people sharing a room. The price includes all transport, all guiding, all entrance fees and all accommodation plus breakfasts.
